The Canary Archipelago is located 150 kilometres off the African coast and 1,350 kms from the Iberian Peninsular and Europe. In terms of time, it is two and a half hours from Madrid, four hours from the main European cities and six hours from South America.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria lies in the north-eastern quadrant of Gran Canaria, 18 kms, which takes 20 minutes on the motorway, from the International Airport of Gran Canaria.

Some ten million passengers use Gran Canaria’s airport each year, flying with the more than 200 companies that offer a permanent service 365 days a year. There are buses every half hour connecting the airport with the island’s capital city (number 60 bus run by the Global company). The second point of entry to the city is the Port, Puerto de la Luz, which is connected to 380 ports around the world by 30 shipping lines. The Puerto de la Luz is the largest port in the Canary Islands and of the mid-Atlantic, and it has long been a port of call for cruise ships, which bring over a million visitors to Las Palmas each year.
